US: All-Clear Given After Reports of Active Shooter at University of South Carolina

The University of South Carolina issued an alert of a possible active shooter near the Thomas Cooper Library on the main Columbia campus, on Sunday, August 24, ordering students to evacuate and seek shelter. Officials later gave the all-clear after finding no evidence of the shooter, though two minor injuries were reported during the evacuation.

Following an active shooting alert on Friday, August 8, Emory University's Atlanta campus was placed on lockdown, which has now been lifted about an hour and a half later.
